Accessibility Statement
Personal City is committed to making its website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we have implemented, the standards we follow, and how to report an accessibility issue.
Applicable standards
The site targets WCAG 2.0 Level AA conformance and the Israeli standard IS 5568, in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013 (תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), תשע"ג-2013).
What is already in place
Among the accessibility measures applied:
- Three interface languages — Russian, English, and Hebrew — including correct RTL behaviour.
- Semantic HTML with landmark roles (header, nav, main, footer) for screen-reader navigation.
- Alt text on vacancy images and icons.
- Visible focus states on every interactive element; full keyboard navigation (Tab / Shift+Tab / Enter / Esc).
- Text and background contrast at AA level.
- Browser-level zoom (Ctrl/Cmd +) preserves functionality without horizontal scrolling.
- aria-label on icon-only buttons.
- Structured heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3) for logical screen-reader reading.
Known limitations
We acknowledge that accessibility is an ongoing process. Currently the following may be sub-optimal:
- Some PDF documents (e.g. work permits) uploaded by users may lack a text layer and not be readable by screen readers. We can provide a plain-text alternative on request.
- Some blog video content may temporarily lack captions in every language; we add them progressively.
- Third-party widgets (e.g. WhatsApp) follow the accessibility policies of their respective platforms.
Service adjustments for people with disabilities
Our agents are happy to assist via alternative channels:
- Voice consultation by phone in Russian, English, Hebrew and (by arrangement) other languages.
- WhatsApp support including voice messages instead of text.
- Reading vacancy content aloud over the phone.
- In-office meetings by prior appointment.

Response time
We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 7 business days. If a resolution requires longer (for example, re-issuing a PDF), we will say so in our initial reply.
